And there's a thought process involved with every shot that only Shuffleboard comes close too. Because of the skills involved and the variety of games that can be played, a pool table is a great choice for good old family fun get-togethers.<br><br>Foosball Game Table<br><br>Foosball Game Tables are great for kids of all ages. Not quite as fast as air hockey or as strategic as billiards, foosball is still a great game. It does however have a speed value that billiards doesn't have. It basically has a bit of everything in it.<br><br>I never had a foosball table but a friend of mine did. We'd play for hours and the good part was that it was big enough for 4 players at a time. You can be the goalie/defense or the front scoring line or both if playing by yourself. You really need quick reflexes to be tops in this game.<br><br>What does a foosball table offer you? The quality of the wood or player colors can be changed but you basically just have your four legs and the table. Some tables are oval instead of rectangular and this makes it safer for young children. Also look for tables that have raised corners on the playing surface so the ball won't get stuck like in the older versions.<br><br>Are they great family fun? In my opinion it depends on the age of the players. For older kids and adults they can be a lot of fun but definitely not for younger children. It's too hard to switch handles and younger children need something to stand on to play. It's easier to swing at a puck or hit pool balls. If you're children are older then a game room sized foosball table would be a great addition. If you have a pool table already then foosball would be a great second game.<br><br>Shuffleboard Game Table<br><br>Now here's a game table that has been overlooked for years. So let me be one to say that shuffleboard is a game for everyone.<br><br>When it comes to the designs and colors of shuffleboard games there are only a few differences. One difference is table length ranging from 9 to 22 feet. There are also features like bumper rails, which make the game easier to play for children. Plus depending on the table you may have a triangle scoring zone or a basic 3 or 4 line, scoring zone. You can use your pucks to block shots, score points or to knock opponents pucks off the table. Also you can play one on one or with teams.<br><br>In my opinion this is the only other stand alone game for a home game room besides a billiard table. It's similar to pool in that strategy is used to win. Also it's easy to play for all ages, although adults seem to enjoy this game more than kids. Kids tend to get bored from the slow action. Adults love to play, kids love to hit the balls around and everyone has a laugh. But is it the best table game for your family? No.<br><br>I don't hate the game of ping-pong. We had a tabletop version in our home growing up. We played it more in our teenage years but as children we'd just end up chasing the ping-pong balls. It can be a very fast game for more advanced players and it definitely takes a lot of good hand-eye coordination. Is it a good stand alone game for your game room? There are various ways in which the government can help give people of pension age enough money to live on ? here?s a concise guide to some of the main benefits.<br><br>State pension ? this is available to men over 65 and women over 60 (increasing to 65 by 2020), although eligibility for the full state pension depends on whether you or your spouse/partner have accumulated sufficient ?qualifying years? through national insurance contributions (NICs). You?ll need to have worked approximately 90% of your adult working life in order to do so. People who have been out of work to bring up children or care for other family members are given ?Home Responsibilities Protection? to make up for lost NICs, and people who receive jobseeker?s allowance and income support will also be given credits while claiming benefit. If you don?t have enough NICs to be eligible for the full basic state pension, but have at least 25% of the qualifying years, you?ll receive an amount somewhere between the minimum and the maximum. If you have less than 25%, you normally won?t be eligible to claim any state pension, but you may be able to get financial help in other ways, such as pension credit or the Over 80 pension.<br><br>Pension credit ? you may qualify to receive pension credits to top up your income if it is very low. Pension credits are made up of two elements: guarantee credits and savings credits. Guarantee credits are available to single people over 60 who have an income of less than ?114.05 per week, or couples over 60 with an income of less than ?174.05 per week. If eligible, you?ll receive top-ups to bring your income up to these levels. Savings credits are available to individuals over 65 whose weekly income is less than ?159 or couples over 65 whose weekly income is less than ?233. If you qualify, you?ll receive ?17.88 per week if you?re single or ?23.58 if you?re a couple. Payments can be made directly into your bank account. Other benefits are not taken into consideration when calculating eligibility, and you may also qualify to receive other benefits if you?re on pension credits, such as housing and council tax benefits.<br><br>Over 80 pension ? if you?re over 80 and on a low income because you don?t get the basic state pension or receive less than ?50.50 per week from your state pension, and as long as you?ve lived in the UK for at least 10 years up to your 80th birthday, you?ll be able to claim an over-80 pension, which will top up your income to ?50.50 per week. It is considered taxable income and will be included as part of your income if you apply for other benefits. Again, you can receive payments directly into your bank account.<br><br>Cold weather payments ? it can be very expensive trying to keep your home warm enough during periods of extremely cold weather. If you?re on a low income, the government can provide cold weather payments to help you pay your fuel bills. If the temperature drops to 0 degrees Celsius or below for seven days in a row between 1st November and 30th March, you?ll automatically receive payments if you?re eligible ? normally when you?re also receiving pension credit.<br><br>Winter fuel allowance ? people aged over 60 can claim winter fuel allowance to help heat their home. The amount varies depending on personal circumstances, up to a maximum of ?300. You?ll automatically receive your allowance with your pension payments if you receive a pension. If you?re not receiving a pension, you?ll need to contact the government Pension Service in order to apply. It has a winter fuel payment department for processing claims.<br><br>Bus pass ? when you reach 60 you?ll be able to apply for a bus pass from your local council, allowing free off-peak travel across the country. The application process varies between council areas. Get in touch with your local council to find out how to apply.<br><br>Free or concessionary television licence ? everyone over the age of 75 is entitled to a free television licence, which covers anyone else also living at the same address. If you would like a car that looks almost ordinary, but that is as fast as many supercars, buy the BMW M5. Yes, on the outside, this is an ordinary European sedan ? but under the hood is a 500 bhp V-10 engine that you might imagine came from a sports-racing car! Will it do 180 mph? No, it could, but it won’t because BMW uses a limiter to prevent you going faster than 155 mph on all its hot cars. Actually, BMW says it will do over 190 mph without the limiter in operation.
The BMW M5 is powered by a very advanced 5.0 liter V-10 engine, ad fits neatly into the standard engine compartment. This is a very special engine, being built in small numbers and at high cost by BMW’s M Center. It’s a 90-degree V-10, which means that it won’t be quite as smooth as some ? in theory, at any rate.

Maximum power is 500 bhp at 7,700 rpm ? a real screamer this ? while the maximum torque of 380 lb ft is produced at 6,100 rpm. Boy, you’re really going to keep this revving if you want to use all that power. Still, when it’s just mooching along at 4,000 rpm, this amazing unit produces quite a chunk of power.
Needless to say, it has all the features you’d expect in a supercar engine, such as a stiff aluminum block, twin overhead camshafts per bank of cylinders and and narrow 4-valve heads. BMW uses its variable valve timing system, and drives the inlet camshafts on each bank by chain, with a gear drive to the exhaust camshaft, a system pioneered by Toyota to save space.
